Shriram General Insurance

Shriram general insurance is a joint venture of Shriram Group and SANLAM Limited-South Africa started with a paid-up capital of Rs. 105 crores. SGIC has been set up a joint venture with Sanlam –South Africa.

Sanlam is a leading financial services group as its Head office in Bellville in the Western Cape. Established in 1918, the group demutualised in 1998 & sanlam limited then listed in the Johannesburg and Namibian stock Exchange.

Santam is a part of Sanlam Limited, which is engaged in short term insurance cluster and is the leading short term insurance co. in South Africa. It is involved elsewhere in Africa,Europe and the United Kingdom. It has also ranked as the best Insurance Co. in South Africa as per the recent study conducted by Pricewaterhouse coopers.
